Workshops

We offer a variety of arts-based and movement-based workshops to introduce attendees to mindfulness in a unique and engaging manner. Some of the workshops we current offer include the following:

Reach out to us at pete@theawareness.org or 978-855-8160 if you’d like to book a workshop or discuss variations to any of the following.

Mindfulness & Reflection: A Practice of Discovery – In this session, we’ll use mindfulness and prompts to open our awareness and look within, then sit, sketch or write about what emerges.

Modalities of Mindfulness: In this 4 session workshop, we cover four forms of mindfulness, which are mindful meditation, mindful walking, mindful eating, and mindfulness in your daily life. If needed, we can also collapse these four topics into one 90-minute workshop.

Mindful Movement Through Yoga: In this session, we use mindfulness and yoga to deeply engage participants in a healthy, movement practice with plenty of modifications to accommodate individual needs.

Past Events

Below is a list of past events, which show the range of workshops and performance events we offer; each event includes a mindfulness component. We’d be happy to work with you to bring a mindfulness event to your organization or collaborate with you on a future event. Contact us to get more information.

This event includes a brief introduction to mindfulness, some mindful stretching a short meditation, followed by a reflective practice to a series of prompts.

This free hands-on workshop integrated intention setting and jewelry-making. Each attendant went home with a mala bracelet they created. In addition, we raffled two copies of Erin’s book, Why Wait? Create! A Visual Artist’s Guide to Using Mindfulness and Meditation to Enhance Their Creative Journey.

A mindful practice can help us view everyday experiences in a new light. Mindfulness can also help us notice recurring thought patterns. In these classes, we used meditation and prompts to open our awareness, then reflected using journaling or sketching to make sense about what emerged.
